Very convenient place

Panida guesthouse is located in a quiet alley.
The room is clean with a private bathroom. The staff was very nice.
Also there is a Khaosan road night market not far with a lot of street food carts

(looked delicious, too bad we ate elsewhere before).
For the price we definitely recommend it.

Great Location!

Had a very pleasant stay at Panida guesthouse. Staff were really friendly,

the whole guesthouse was very clean, and the location was brilliant - over the road from Grand Palace and near to an excellent Khaosan road. Would happily stay here again!

Sweet oasis

Great location in the middle of the old city - good for resting in between temple and site explorations. Strong wifi, very friendly and helpful owner and staff, more than ample information provided on their walls without even having to ask! Snacks and having the great Coffee Old City restaurant just outside are bonuses. And did I say the prices are amazing?

Excellent!!

Bangkok was more spread out than expected, but Panida Guesthouse was perfectly located near the core group of temples. It's also close to decent restaurants, not far from convenience stores etc. They also have bicycle hire. Besides the very reasonable price,

the main bonuses for us were the clean, spacious room and the very friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended!

A Fantastic Guesthouse and Amazing Value

We decided to visit Bangkok for a week to visit the old city

and booked Panida Guesthouse

after reading reviews. What a great choice and such amazing value.

The location is fab opposite the Giant Swing and we hired bikes to explore.

Nice restaurants nearby. I would also recommend the longtail boat trip which Guesthouse booked for us at only 200 baht each kids free. A big 5 stars from us!!!

alcohol is available with low rate. the owner gave us very helpful information such interesting places to visit, where can find a good foods and so on. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED

Absolutely Amazing

we booked our stay at the Paida Guest House based on the reviews that we read

and basically all the good things that we read are absolutely truth...

The house, the staff, the complementary cookies, coffee and bananas, the location, everything is amazing...
When we arrived to the guest house they received us with cold, gave us a very useful map and very good suggestions on where to go, where to etc. The staff is very kind, always smiling and willing to help you with anything you need ...
After we did the check out they let us leave our bags at the guest house, so we could go sight seeing during the day. After we came back they let us take a nice shower in a little bathroom downstairs (even gave us new towels) and offered us more cookies and coffee...
We totally recommend this place...didn't have any complain during the two nights that we stayed there.

Home away from home

A fantastic. It feels like you are staying in someone's home at the Panida Guesthouse.

We were greeted with a cool drink and we made very welcome, the staff had kept some bananas to one side for us as well.
The guesthouse is in a great location right near Wat Suthat and the Giant Swing.
The room was tidy and clean and I would recommend this guesthouse.

We had a great stay and would go back if we visit this part of the world again.
Tip- if you get a tuk tuk from the station etc, direct them to Giant Swing and just cross the road to find the ally way that leads to the guesthouse.

Exceeds every possible expectation

This adorable little guesthouse is located in the heart of Bangkok. Nestled in a little side alley, it is remarkable and quiet. The staff are just wonderful--friendly, polite, hospitable.

The rooms are extremely clean and very well-appointed, considering the very reasonable prices. Great free wifi, air conditioned rooms, complimentary water, bike rentals for 50 Baht.

A lovely outdoor terrace to have a drink and savour the day tops off this gem.

This was our first visit to a guesthouse and we were a bit nervous, but the excellent reviews are fully justified. Thank you to our marvellous hosts for making Bangkok such a lovely stay.

Do not hesitate a second…

Just came back from there for a short tourism visit in Bangkok, hotelier myself since decades now, I can just say that: it is simply excellent and great.
Location cannot be better, almost in front of one of the most popular temples to visit in Bangkok old town.
My room (101) was spacious, very clean with a good smell, bed is comfy as well the linen smelling good. Pillows are soft but enough to make you to have a good rest.
Bathroom was just interesting in matter of design, hot water and good water pressure too.
Wi fi is simply great and fast...
A 7/11 convenient store is not that far in case you need something...
They do offer coffee, tea and bananas facilities and you can serve yourself.
Everybody was very polite, the staff friendly and helpful especially the owner and his sister.
Great job and definitely a must go.

Nice place to stay

Very cute and clean place to stay. May not be the warmest people running the place,

but they aren't rude. They also help arrange a tuk tuk to pick you up.
Construction outside of our window/room was happening, which was a little of an intrusion,

but I may stay here again. Price, cleanliness and amenities are worth the return and a recommendation.

Fantastic place to stay

Really enjoyed staying in this warm and friendly guesthouse, and very much wish we could have stayed longer, but two nights in Bangkok is sufficient to see all the sites. The room was very nice with all mod cons, something that was very unexpected for the price of the room. The communal facilities were also well thought out and showed the care given to guests by the hosts. The hosts themselves were always so happy and accommodating, and arranged all trips for us with no problems. Even though the Panida Guesthouse does not include breakfast, there is a great place around the corner, which does excellent food. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would have loved to stay longer. The guesthouse is in a great location, just across the road from a major site and the house itself is charming.

Beautiful, quirky guesthouse with great customer service

Really great guesthouse with better amenities than I was expecting for the price

(good air-con, flat-screen TV).

Beautifully decorated, and in a good location in Bangkok old town.

The owners are also incredibly helpful and will book taxis and tuk tuks for you.
The only downsides are that they don't offer breakfast (though there's a cafe next door which does cheap food) and it can be a little noisy, since it's a pretty old house. On the whole, though, it's excellent.

Rescued by an Angel
Firstly I should say that we did not stay here. We booked to stay at the Panida Guesthouse for 3 nights in mid January, can you imagine when we arrived to be told that the booking had been made for March & the Guest House was full. We were jokingly told to come back next month.
Staff was extremely sympathetic & helpful. She offered us chilled bottled water, enquired next door, then she got on the phone, finally finding an alternative a few minutes walk away.

She insisted on arranging a tuk-tuk to take us there (at her expense).

We found her very understanding & helpful and are very grateful, after arriving tired we didn't need the inconvenience or worry of chasing around for somewhere else to stay. Full marks to staff, from what we saw we would have loved to have stayed there.

Excellent service, great location

Would highly recommended this guestouse. Bedrooms are spotlessly clean with tv & wifi.
Free tea, coffee, water, biscuits & fruit. No breakfast, but several cafes in the immediate area. Great location - right opposite Giant Swing & a short walk to the Khaosan road.
Helpful, friendly staff. Stored our bags as we were not leaving until late evening & gave us towels for a shower, which was very welcome after a day of sightseeing in the sun. Definitely the best guesthouse we have stayed in, so far in Thailand.

Different!

A lot of reviewers have mentioned the word 'quirky' regarding this guesthouse and they are spot on.it is very different to what we have stayed in before our travels around Thailand.we are in our early sixties and would perhaps suit the young generation, however it turned out to ok,generous supply of coffee, tea, water, even 'jammy dodgers' which was a nice touch!we was allocated a room with the 'open' bathroom which worked ok until you opened the door from the bedroom and you had plenty of mozzies around.for the money we paid we cannot complain too much, certainly a talking point!

The atmosphere was really nice, positive place, simple but well done.

The only guesthouse where they had a hairdryer! The owner was very helpful.
We arrived there after a very long journey (our flight was overbooked) so we were in need of relaxing, a good bed and pillow… and that’s what we found!!
I would definitely go back there.
The location is great to go visit the city.

Apology accepted

Although a very apologetic Panida Guesthouse messed up our Christmas reservation and we were only able to stay for one night instead of four, we still have to award five stars for the way they apologised and ensured we were able to find a room elsewhere.
The guesthouse itself is lovely, spotlessly clean and stylish with comfortable en-suite rooms with AC & large double bed, bike hire, info, pleasant seating areas and a supply of free bananas, water, tea and coffee. There's no breakfast but there are several cafes close by and a friendly market with lots of interesting food stalls.

Really well run guesthouse with friendly and helpful owners

This guesthouse is nice and a little quirky.
Everything in the room worked. The owners could not be more friendly and helpful.

I rented a bicycle for the day for 50 baht and everything I wanted to see was close enough to visit by bike (thanks to my phone GPS!)
The shared fridge with water bottles and kettle/biscuits in the hallway was a nice touch and there are even little tags with your room number to put around any drinks you put in the shared fridge!

We had a great stay here in Ayutthaya. The hostess was kind enough to let us check in really early which was a great help, however other than this we didn't find her particularly friendly. A place called home

We had 3 nights with Koy and her family. Such a warm and friendly family who couldn't do enough for us and all the other guests. Clean and comfortable rooms with common area with free cold drinks, tea and coffee, biscuits and fruit.

Travellers gathered around the downstairs area and shared their days events.

We felt like part of the family. Lucky we booked in advance as they are constantly booked. Best location to cafes and temples. Thank you Koy for your generous hospitality.

Best accommodation of our trip!

The staff was so friendly! Even though we only stayed for one night (and we really regretted it but we already made further travelplans) and they could have thought we don't make a lot of money of them, let them be.. they gave us a full introduction to the city, where to go to, free water even on the day of departure when we already checked out and were just waiting for our transport, what a service! Also the room was great with a beautiful ensuite bathroom (we were so glad with the shower!)! Only bad thing is that it took our tuk-tuk driver an hour to find the guesthouse :| But it's on a great location.

The staff is the most memorable thing about this guesthouse

This accommodation is homely and simple, but well-kept, spotlessly clean, comfortable and very close to the Grand Palace. The staff is unfailingly pleasant, smiling and accommodating. Free coffee, tea, fruit and biscuits is a nice touch. The old grandma is a delight to have a chat with as she digs out her old atlas.
Panida Guesthouse offers exceptional value in my opinion and it ticks all the right boxes. Very commendable!

Perfect

The hosts are fantastic people. They waved to us as we drove away in our tuk tuk. That doesn't happen very often at a hostel/guesthouse. The room was fantastic.

The shower was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable.

The hosts have a very nice man who runs a tuk tuk. It was 200 baht per hour.

He took us everywhere we wanted to go. He showed us the time that we started and finished our "tour". He always gave us enough time to do what we wanted. The guesthouse is right across the street from the main ruins (which I didn't find all that impressive, but it is centrally located. We were pressed for time a little bit so the tuk tuk tour was the best options for us to see the outer wats and Grand Palace. We HIGHLY recommend staying one or two nights. Panida Guesthouse is very close to the Khaosan road night market which was a decent place to go "local watching" and the food was pretty good as well. If you really want to go to Bangkok. Stay at Panida Guesthouse.

A good backpackers option

The owners of this place are very nice, though they don't speak a lot of English.
They will arrange a bicycle to be delivered to the guesthouse early in the morning for you. They may also drop you off at the bus station if your bus leaves very early

(they did for me, anyway).
Breakfast is not included but there is a 7-Eleven down the road (you can take your breakfast over to the ruins to have it) or, if you are a late riser, there is an excellent restaurant about three doors up that's open 8am-6pm.
Rooms are a good size and well set out with some nice touches. Rooms are clean, have aircon and own bathroom, TV and a common fridge plus tea/coffee.

Love at first sight

This charming little guesthouse is situated in the heart of the old city and deserves all the praise it's receiving. Having suffered like everybody during the recent floods, the owners do their best to create a cosy atmosphere and how do they succeed... The room is completely covered in wood and is simply adorable

( small tip: check the pillows) :-), but equally the outdoor bathroom is absolutely wonderful. The owners fit perfectly in this picture as they dropped by after their working day to make sure everything was okay and offering us a snack. And even though they offer no breakfast, in the small hall between the rooms, you'll find a toaster, bread, jam and coffee... Just around the corner are already some temples, so our advice: stay at Panida Guesthouse.
